Welcome!
As you know, I send out a Five Nudes Friday (almost) every Friday. If I don’t make it Friday, it becomes a Six Nudes Saturday, and if I don’t make that either, it becomes a Seven Nudes Sunday.
Last week, though, I didn’t manage to send anything at all…
I’ll briefly explain why and then get down to business—I promise.
I’ve been in a bit of a transitional phase. I closed a long-standing chapter in business and will be spending more time on art—while also giving myself the freedom to explore new opportunities and interests. At the same time, I came across a beautiful old building from 1878 that I’ll be transforming into a creative space. Add a vacation (with the inevitable jet lag), and it’s been quite the whirlwind.
These past days also brought some sad news: the unexpected passing of Ukrainian nude photographer David Dubnitskiy, who tragically died in a motorcycle accident around mid‑July. His distinctive style and vision made him a well‑known figure in the genre, and he will be greatly missed. If you’re not familiar with his work, I strongly encourage you to explore it—through his Bluesky profile, IG profile and his app Nymf (for both iOS and Android).
So, with that said, I’m hoping things will settle down now—giving space to reflection, new beginnings, and of course, getting back to what The Nude Canvas is really about: honoring and exploring the beauty of artistic nude photography!
sehr schöne Aufnahmen 👌
I am saddened by David’s passing, a true artist. I had been a subscriber for 3 years
